Avenged Sevenfold was the first ever release from the band, a Demo, which was their original attempt to get signed by a label. It contained three songs at first: Forgotten Faces, Thick and Thin, and The Art of Subconcious Illusion. After failing to get signed the first time they recorded two new songs: Lips of Deceit and We Come Out at Night, and finally got signed to Goodlife Records. All five of the songs made their way to Avenged Sevenfold's 2001 debut album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.
