Unholy Confessions

Unholy Confessions is Avenged Sevenfold's second song off of their 2003 album, Waking the Fallen. It is heavily

accredited with giving Avenged Sevenfold their first taste of mainstream exposure, as the song was featured on MTV and MTV2 multiple times. This song also happens to be the most played live song, with setlist.fm stating they've played it over 680 times.

A music video was released consisting of an edited concert and fan activity. Footage of the band playing Unholy Confessions and their fans were shown in the video. It was also stated, in a special interview done for the ten year anniversary of Waking the Fallen (Waking the Fallen: Resurrected), that at the live concert they filmed to create the music video, they had to play the song twice to get the necessary footage. In honor of the ten year anniversary, Avenged Sevenfold also released the original cut of the first video they had made for Unholy Confessions, which depicted each member playing the song in an "abandoned warehouse" setting. This was also the first official music video that Johnny Christ appeared in.
